Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Pineapple, frozen
- 2 cups Fresh spinach
- 1 whole Avocado, ripe
- 1 whole Banana, frozen
- 3/4 cup Coconut milk
- 3 tbsp Fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp Lime zest
- 1/2 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp Hemp or chia seeds
- 3-4 whole Dates
- pinch Sea salt
- 8 cubes Ice cubes
- 2 scoops Collagen powder ()
- Note: for those with gestational diabetes, skip or reduce to 1 or 2 dates.
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to all blender except collagen powder.
- Blend on high for 1-2 minutes.
- Add more coconut milk or a little water if needed.
- Add the collagen and pulse for another 10-15 seconds.
- Notes: This smoothie contains protein, healthy fat and helps to balance blood sugars, which along with the ginger help to relieve nausea and is a great option for those with gestational diabetes. It also contains natural electrolytes to keep the body well hydrated.
