Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Pineapple, frozen
  • 2 cups Fresh spinach
  • 1 whole Avocado, ripe
  • 1 whole Banana, frozen
  • 3/4 cup Coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp Fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp Lime zest
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp Hemp or chia seeds
  • 3-4 whole Dates
  • pinch Sea salt
  • 8 cubes Ice cubes
  • 2 scoops Collagen powder ()
  • Note: for those with gestational diabetes, skip or reduce to 1 or 2 dates.

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to all blender except collagen powder.
  2. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add more coconut milk or a little water if needed.
  4. Add the collagen and pulse for another 10-15 seconds.
  5. Notes: This smoothie contains protein, healthy fat and helps to balance blood sugars, which along with the ginger help to relieve nausea and is a great option for those with gestational diabetes. It also contains natural electrolytes to keep the body well hydrated.
