Marshmallows

These marshmallows taste like the real thing without all the extra additives. They are super simple to make and are a fun treat to make with kids. Add them to your Bone Broth Hot Chocolate!

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp grass-fed gelatin
  • 1 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 Tbsp arrowroot powder

Instructions

  1. In a kitchen mixer with whisk attachment, place the gelatin with 1/2 of the water.
  2. Let it bloom for 10 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, heat to boiling the other half of the water with the honey for 15 minutes.
  4. With the kitchen mixer on low speed, add the honey mixture to the gelatin.
  5. Add the vanilla.
  6. Line a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper and sprinkle with 1 Tbsp of arrowroot powder.
  7. Pour the marshmallow mixture onto the parchment paper and let cool for 5-6 hours at room temperature.
  8. Sprinkle and gently spread another 1 Tbsp of arrowroot powder over the top.
  9. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
