Ingredients

  • 1 tin Smoked sardines with bones
  • 1 whole Avocado
  • 1-2 tbsp Kimchi or sauerkraut

Instructions

  1. Drain the oil from the sardine can and empty the contents into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, scoop out the flesh and add to the bowl.
  3. Add 1-2 tbsp of kimchi or sauerkraut, to taste.
  4. With a fork, mash the contents until it's mixed.
  5. Enjoy on crackers or toast or all on its own for a nutrient-dense snack or lunch.
  6. Can be made with or without the bones, although the bones contain extra calcium and other minerals beneficial to mother and baby.
