Elderberry Syrup

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup Elderberries, dried
- 3.5 cups Filtered Water
- 1.5 Tbsp Ginger, dried or fresh grated
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Cloves, ground
- 1 cup Raw Honey
Instructions
- Add all ingredients EXCEPT honey into a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes until the liquid has reduced by almost half.
- Remove from heat and let cool until it's lukewarm.
- Mash the berries carefully using a spoon.
- Strain into a glass mason jar or bowl. Compost or discard the elderberries.
- Add the cup of honey and stir well.
- Store in the fridge and take daily during cold + flu season or during times of illness for its immune-boosting properties.
