Slow-cooker Beef Chili

Slow-cooker Beef Chili
Yield 6
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds Ground beef
- 5 pounds Liver
- 15 oz Kidney beans, drained + rinsed
- 15 oz Crushed tomatoes
- 1.5 cups Bone Broth
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 2 medium Bell peppers, chopped
- 2 Tbsp Chili powder
- 1 Tbsp Cumin
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- - Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Puree the raw beef liver in a food processor or high-powered blender. (You can also finely chop the liver but the puree "hides" the liver more effectively.)
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Add the liver puree after 1-2 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer beef + liver to a slow cooker. Add chopped onion, garlic, bell peppers, kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, broth, chili powder, and cumin.
- Season with salt and pepper. Stir well.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve the chili hot with your favorite toppings.
